Pasture Raised Chicken

Enjoy your share of our pasture raised chicken with our Community Supported Agriculture.

ABOUT THE CSA

Our pasture raised chicken CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) is a program in which people can purchase a share of our farm's production of chickens. The CSA members receive a monthly batch of fresh chickens. The chickens are pasture raised, exceed organic standards, and the members can choose from a variety of cut options which allow you to elevate your meals beyond what factory farmed chicken could ever dream of!

The CSA is an opportunity to support our farm, as well as a way for members to get fresh, high quality chicken at a reduced cost.

Our pasture raised chicken is in high demand and as a CSA member, you never have to worry about a sold out sign. Outside of a natural disaster, your share is the front of the line. CSA chickens have priority over stocking the markets and other online orders.

Get started below and bring home food the way nature intended!

Exceeding Organic Standards

Our practices far exceed today's organic standards and we mimic natural patterns we see in Nature. These methods are not just sustainable, but regenerative and healing!

No GMO's

We do not use genetically modified organisms (GMOs) in any aspect of our farming practices, ensuring a completely natural and wholesome food source.

Slow Grown

In a world where the industry just wants to grow chickens faster, fatter and cheaper, we let ours grow at a more natural rate, catering to the well being of the animal and the quality of the meat.

Healthier Meat

Our chickens have a more varied diet, including grasses, insects, and seeds, which results in meat higher in nutrients such as omega-3 fatty acids and vitamins A and E, just to name a few.

No Chlorine Baths

Factory farmed chicken is sanitized with a chlorine rinse, which in turn ends up in your dinner. We never use any harsh chemicals, ensuring a clean food free from toxins.

Maverick Approach

Instead of farming in alignment with the industry, we farm in alignment with nature's brilliance. An effort that shines through in every bite!

Happy Chickens

Our pasture raised chickens are able to move around and engage in natural behaviors, such as scratching and foraging, which improve their overall well-being.

No Pharmaceuticals

We believe nature's default is wellness and keeping a natural balance eliminates the need for toxic chemical fixes. We do not use antibiotics, vaccines or RNA injections in any of our animals.

Fresh Pasture Raised Chicken

Just how fresh is our pasture raised chicken?

Take a look at how we take your chicken from our pasture to your kitchen in just days.

Thursday

After a night of letting the meat rest and chill, we part out and package your chicken. We then store them in a cooler overnight to rest more.

The resting periods help ensure rigor mortis has passed and the meat becomes more tender.

Customize your share

Chicken the way you want it

In each of your batches, if you choose a full share you will receive 4 chickens, and a half share you will receive 2 chickens. You can customize those chickens to your liking. You can choose to keep them as whole oven ready chickens, or have us cut them into halves or a spatchcock cut. Alternatively, you may like all those popular cuts, such as breasts, tenderloins, wings and legs. For this you would choose to part out your chickens.

Whole Chicken

Leave your chickens as whole chickens. These will be oven ready chickens for you to cook however you desire.

Half Chicken

Choosing this option when you order will tell us to cut your chickens into halves. So each chicken will yield 2 halves. You can choose how many chickens per batch you want cut into halves.

Spatchcock

Have some or all of your chickens spatchcocked. This is when we cut down the backbone, allowing the chicken to be split open and lay flat. This is ideal if you want to cook a whole chicken on the grill.

Leg Quarter Options

If you choose to have your chickens parted out, you have multiple choices for your leg quarters. We can leave them as full leg quarters, split them into drumsticks and thighs, opt for boneless skinless thighs, or we can grind the meat for ground chicken or chicken sausage. You can mix and match any of these options.
